Langalibalele kaMthimkhulu letters

[Source of metadata - Steven Kotze for FHYA, 2024, using information from Paul Mills of Clarke's Africana & Rare Books. Two letters pertinent to the Hlubi archive and related to the pursuit and arrest of Langalibalele kaMthimkhulu in December 1873. Written by Charles Duncan Griffith, Governor's Agent and Chief Magistrate of British Basutoland, to Albert Allison, commander of the Natal Field Force. These letters were offered for sale as Lot number 404, Auction 117 on the antiquarianauctions.com website, from 11 - 19 July 2019, and were sold for $1392. The letters were photographed for the sale by Paul Mills and downloaded by Steven Kotze for FHYA in February 2024.]
