Scope and Content

[Source - Henry Fagan for FHYA, 2020: A digitised copy of James Stuart's A History of the Zulu Rebellion, 1906, and of Dinuzulu's Arrest, Trial and Expatriation. Stuart was commissioned by the Natal Government to produce an official history of the conflict in August 1906, but amid his other official responsibilities, work on the project stalled. Although Stuart signalled he was eager to resume work on the book in 1912, financial support for the project was no longer forthcoming. Drawing on private funds, Stuart eventually succeeded in completing the book in August 1913.This digital copy was made from a physical copy acquired from UCT Libraries.]
