The front matter of the book has a stamp which is partially illegible, but definitely reads 'Harte'. It is unclear of Harte was a person or perhaps a library. Another page in the front matter appears to have contained a further stamp, but it is too faded to make out.
[Source - Henry Fagan for FHYA, 2022: Written by A. W. Drayson before 1892 drawing on material he had written c. 25 years earlier. Published by Griffith Farran Browne & Co. Limited in London in 1892. In 1900, the book appears to have been awarded by head teacher W. Goward of Dalgleish Street. School to Alfred Clarke, a standard 3 student, for punctual and regular attendance. The copy was acquired by an unknown institution at an unknown date. It was digitised by Google at an unknown date and uploaded to Google Books.
