Object description [Source - Nothando Shabalala for FHYA, 2023: 1 necklace : material: thread, glass (beads), plastic (beads, button) ; technique: beadwork ; colour: natural (brown), beads - white/bright red (translucent)/indigo blue/blue/clear light green (large; plastic; transparent)/red (plastic; opaque)/gold (large; plastic; opaque; colour has washed out - cream-coloured surface is exposed with golden hues), button - light blue; circular (Note: the strand is one long piece - it can be worn over the head. With tassles, flower-like decorations, the much longer parts of the strand are wound together (in twists) [3 strips are twisted together and combined with the other 3 twisted 3 strips (on either side)] which I think looks like a plait. The strand is a bit dusty (old object) and some parts are broken.) ; dimensions: 118cm (C)]
