[Source - Benathi Marufu for FHYA, 2023: This series contains the Estelle Hamilton-Welsh Collection which comprises of indigenous African material, collected between 1880 and 1940. It consists of objects from the Eastern Cape, Mpumalanga and KwaZulu Natal. These include Xhosa, Mfengu, Thembu, Mpondo, Zulu and Ndebele beadwork, as well as costumes, grass work, wooden artefacts, chains, medicines and weapons.]
