[Source - Henry Fagan for FHYA, 2022, using material provided by Hlonipha Mokoena and Sizakele Gumede: Two letters written by Magema Fuze appearing on page two of Ilanga Lase Natal 25 April 1919. In the first piece Fuze describes how he lost a case attempting to claim a church house. He also recalls how he dreamt he saw Jesus in clouds with angels by his side. There was money divided into copper money for kwaZulu and white money for Natal. Mafukuzela (John Dube) was one of the angels. In the second brief letter, Fuze asks his readers for financial support. His request is £3 from each of 12 men to support the publication of his historical book, after which he pledges to repay them once the books start selling.]
