A handwritten date on page 2 suggests that this book was gifted to University of California Libraries in 1915, although it is possible the writer was intending to convey the date of publication.
[Source - Henry Fagan for FHYA, 2021: Much of the text was collated by A. Kropf before December 1899, with further material added by Godfrey between March 1911 and 1915. Published by Lovedale Mission Press in Alice in 1915. A copy was acquired by Horace W. Carpentier at an unknown date. It was gifted to University of California Libraries, seemingly in 1915. The book was digitised in 2007 by Internet Archive. It was downloaded by FHYA in 2021 and uploaded by Benathi Marufu for FHYA in 2021.]
