Scope and Content

[Source - Ettore Morelli for FHYA, 2020: A digitised copy of the book written by the missionary Thomas Arbousset, first published in French in 1842, this being the first translation into English. This edition did not include the lithographies included with the French edition and it is unclear if the map was also excluded; this copy does not include the map. The book details Thomas Arbousset's and François Daumas' travels in the regions surrounding the Caledon Valley, in modern Lesotho and Free State Province in 1836 .]
