Attributions and conjectures [Source - Michelle House for FHYA, 2020: Metal objects are one of the key features of Iron Age farmer settlements. Mining and smelting of copper, iron, gold, tin and brass formed a critical component of these peoples' economy. They were used to makes spears and arrow heads, hoes for ploughing land and for jewelry. Archaeologists use them to understand the everyday life of farmers, and to understand sourcing of raw materials to inform on local trade and exchange.]
