Royal Commonwealth Society collection Membership Records entry pertaining to the South African Native Affairs Commission (SANAC) (member entry)
Scope and Content
[Source - Chloe Rushovich for FHYA, 2023, using Cambridge University Library materials and materials provided by Sally Kent: Member book holding the membership records of the Royal Commonwealth Society relating to the South African Native Affairs Commission. The membership binder covers the period 1932-1989. It is unclear when Frances Preston (nee Lagden)'s entry would have been written. She was elected a member in 1923, and the last note on her record is from 1971 when the RCS had lost contact with her (i.e. they no longer received her subscription). From the form of the record, it was most likely created around 1931.]
