Scope and Content
[Source - Chloe Rushovich for FHYA, 2023, using Cambridge University Library materials and materials provided by Sally Kent: Royal Commonwealth Society collection catalogue cards. The catalogue card refers to the second copy of the South African Native Affairs Commission volumes, with the classmark L5. The index was apparently not updated to record the second set's arrival after donation by Mrs Preston, nor was the second classmark added. The 'case' classmark is a legacy classmark, inherited from the RCS, and refers to the fact that these books were once stored in a locked glass-fronted case in the RCS library, in contrast to other material which was truly open shelf. ]
