Archival History

[Source - Debra Pryor for FHYA, 2024: In line with its commitment to making material openly accessible and electronically searchable, the FHYA commissioned e-dexes (a special type of transcript) of selected articles published by S.E.K. Mqhayi in a variety of newspapers and books from 1901-1944 to form part of the 'Materials written and collected by Samuel Edward Krune Mqhayi and associated materials' archival curation on EMANDULO. While the e-dexes seek to be as accurate renditions of the press articles as possible, they do not purport to be faithful transcriptions. Rather, the readily searchable e-dexes are a type of finding aid that point to the published newspaper articles.]
