Whose handwriting is it and during what period were they active? - MAA. The date on the label and the mention of the Bellair kraal suggests that it may have been collected by A. C. Haddon on the BAAS 1905 expedition to Bellair. MAA also holds photographs from Haddon from the visit to Bellair. From notes by Nessa Leibhammer (Curator of Traditional Southern African Collections, Johannesburg Museum & Art Gallery), 21 November 2012 - Rachel Hand (23/11/2012) Period: Contexts: Accompanied by an old handwritten paper label, which notes "anklet obtained from woman at kraal of/ [?] Shindingini [spelling unclear], Nr. Belleair/ Headman N'gidi 24/8/[19]05". Added later at start of label, "Zulu" - MAA (00/00/0000). Updated: 23/11/2012 Created: 01/12/1998]
