Scope and Content
[Source - Henry Fagan for FHYA, 2021: A paper by Thomas Dowson submitted for the Mfecane Aftermath conference held at University of the Witwatersrand in September in 1991. The paper argued that if the concept of the Mfecane requires substantial revision, then so to do stereotypical depictions of Bushmen in colonial hisoriography. Dowson drew on archaeological evidence to argue that Bushmen were not 'invisible' but were active participants in the history of Mfecane period.]
