Fuze worked extensively with Bishop Colenso and his daughter Harriette. He was also closely associated with King Dinuzulu and his family, and worked with him on and off until 1904. In 1915, Fuze began writing serialised articles for Ilanga Lase Natal. In 1922, Fuze's book Abantu Abamnyama was privately published. This was the first ever book written in Zulu by a Zulu author.]
